Community acupuncture is when many people are treated at the same time instead of just one person in a private setting.
There is always a lovely collective healing energy in a group setting and many find it a more powerful treatment. It can be nice to have the comfort of other people in the room, you could even book this for friends and family.
I have been practicing acupuncture since 2009 and I believe it is needed now more than ever.
By setting up this clinic and using this approach I’m hoping to make acupuncture available and accessible to more people by reducing the cost.
While acupuncture can be used for a variety of symptoms and illnesses, in this clinic my intention is to ease stress and promote relaxation.
There can be many benefits to this, such as improved sleep, better mood, improved digestion, reduced muscle tension, and improved immune system.
The last few years have taken a toll on most people’s stress levels and mental health and it’s time to regain control and manage this.
If you feel like you are often at the bottom of the list and self-care is non-existent then this is an ideal opportunity to pamper yourself and show yourself some love. Ideally, self-care should be a daily routine and this session will tick that box nicely (for one day anyway)!
How will the session work?
The session will start as soon as you arrive as the mood will be calming!
This will be different from a 1-1 session. I won’t be taking a detailed history and won’t be tailoring the session based on your symptoms. Please just book for a 1-1 session if you require a full treatment.
You will remove your shoes and socks and be seated in a recliner. If you would like to bring a blanket for comfort please do so.
The main points that I will be using will be easily accessible. From the knee to the toes, the elbow to the fingers and the head so there will be no need to remove your clothing. Most people find a tracksuit or loose clothing most comfortable.
I will go from person to person inserting the needles and they will be left in place for 20-25 minutes.
The needles will then be removed and you’ll be offered a drink and snack to finish out the treatment.
This will just be an acupuncture session so if you would like to avail of the other therapies that I offer, such as moxibustion or cupping, then a 1-1 session would be more suitable.
After the session, it would be lovely if you were able to go home relax and allow the body to come into balance but as it’s Friday evening you might be heading straight out on the town. Either way, the benefits of the treatment will be felt.
